My 30 Day Abs Challenge

February 16th, 2010

Hey guys, Peter here.

picys 001

Today I decided to start a 30 day challenge to getting six pack abs. It has been a long time (about 6 months) since I even stepped foot into a gym.

But as you can see I am very out of shape and have a skinny-fat look going on. It is hard to stay in shape especially after spending the holidays eating like a pig and sitting on the couch all day.

So this is why I decided to do a 1 month challenge to getting six pack abs by getting on a program called The Truth About Six Pack Abs.

It is an eBook written by a personal trainer named Mike Geary who seems to know what he is talking about on his website.

Today is Tuesday, February 16th so on March 16th about 30 days from now I will post up the results I get by following this program. Who knows maybe this will motivate you guys to lose your gut for a belated New Years Resolution. It is never too late!

About Ab Equipment

January 31st, 2010

You have probably seen one of those infomercials with the new ab machine that will get you six pack abs within a couple of weeks. They are a big waste of money!

They are a waste of money because you do not need them. What they end up doing is put a hurting on your wallet, take up space in your house, and gather dust for you to clean up after a while.

However there is some ab equipment that can really help you out unless of course you go to a gym that has everything you need.

The only equipment I recommend would be an exercise ball, some weights, and a jump rope for a great cardio workout.

An exercise ball is great for working not just your abs but your core. Whenever you do an exercise involving the ball you are making your body work harder since you need to keep your balance while doing the exercise. It burns more and is very effective.

Weights are self explanatory. Once you have done plenty of body weight workouts you can add weights fast for more challenge. Then there is a jump rope which is great for a cardio workout because for one it works your whole body and it is actually pretty hard.

I mean looking at the cost you could get a great sports jump rope for $20, an exercise ball for $20, and a pair of weights that you could use for a ton of exercises for no more than $20. This is all you need for a complete home gym to get six pack abs fast. Save some space and forget about “the latest and greatest ab miracle”.

Get Good Abs Fast

January 29th, 2010

If you want to a solid six pack within a month then you need to be honest with yourself and see where you stand. It is hard work to get abs especially if you want them fast.

So you should get right into a great abs diet and workout routine. Find out how many calories you need to maintain your weight and then subtract that number by 500. Spread your meals out into 6 small meals.

For each meal have a source of protein, healthy fats, fruits, and vegetables. Eat 3 cheat meals every week but spread them out so you eat 1 every 2 days.

Do some effective ab exercises at each workout and also stay active because the more active you are the more fat you stand to lose.

3 Secrets to Get Six Pack Abs

January 28th, 2010

We all want to have a lean mid section without a lot of effort. The only problem is that people usually get lost in some kind of gimmick for the latest ab equipment. Here are 3 secrets to get a six pack.

1) Eat fatty foods. Eating the right foods that promote fat loss are more important than doing ab exercises. Foods that are loaded with healthy fats like mixed nuts, olive oil, and salmon are all great for burning fat.

2) Compound exercises are very effective. Ab exercises are great for targeting your abs directly but to really get the full six pack it helps to perform exercises like squats, chest presses, and lunges.

3) Develop the right mindset. You need to stop focusing on buying supplements or ab equipment and just start working smart. Believe that you can achieve six pack abs and then it will actually happen.
